Rescued ‘Brave’ to Get 4 Limbs

Thrown away by miscreants, a street dog gets a second chance — and a new set of legs.

Brave was a street dog and he was thrown away from some miscreants after all his four limbs being brutally chopped off. His will to survive was strong and he was rescued after 14 hours of lying unattended in this state of pain. Malabica and her husband rushed from Delhi to help. After a while they explored if someone can help him walk. They stumbled upon prosthesis experts in Spain and US. But, were not convinced. Finally, they approached Dr Tapesh who didn't make big promise but assured to try best. Appreciating the gentleness of couple who saved Brave, Doctor asked them to visit him, took measurements of all limbs. It was a big challenge and still is. Finally in month of March KrishnaLimb was fitted to Brave with lot of improvisations and now it's going to be a long wait before he can walk. Malabica and family have assured all efforts to follow physiotherapy instructions knowing well it entails lot of practice and patience. With dedicated owners who are like parents to this rescued street dog we can only hope that he will walk one day. May be 6 months, may be an year or even longer. Challenges is big and hope to overcome with support of all.
